JEAN JENNINGS BARTIK
COMPUTER PIONEER
by Kim D. Todd

Kim Todd’s biography of Jean Bartik is written for students. The book describes Jean Bartik’s dream of adventures beyond her family’s farm, her willingness to travel from her home in Missouri half way across the United States to Philadelphia to help the World War II effort, and her important role as one of the world’s first computer programmers.

This book is a tribute to a great pioneer written for students ages 8-13, grades 4-6.
